FenceEdge units are equipped with two rechargeable 18615 Lithium-Ion batteries. Depending on the settings the FenceEdge can run very long on this capacity. However, at some point, the FenceEdge needs to be charged. This can be done by connecting to a 5 to 30 Volt DC power source to the charging pins. The FenceEdge has its own charger and will control if and how much charging is done This is why the units also be connected to a standard 12 Volt vehicle battery for example.
Be extremely careful not to connect the High Voltage fence to the Charging pins. Also, make sure that any cables to the device are not touching or crossing each other, as high voltage current may spark and damage the device or other equipment. As the Smart Parks team for advice if needed.
